WhatsApp now allows users to link their account to multiple phones, in addition to web browsers, tablets, and desktops. Up to four additional devices can be linked, with each phone connecting to WhatsApp independently and messages, media, and calls remaining end-to-end encrypted.

The new feature also allows users to switch between phones without signing out and pick up chats where they left off. Small business owners can also have multiple employees respond to customers directly from their phones under the same WhatsApp Business account.

The update is rolling out globally over the next few weeks, and users can now link devices by entering their phone number on WhatsApp Web to receive a one-time code.
