Sony Electronics has launched the Xperia 1 V, its flagship smartphone that is equipped with a newly developed stacked CMOS image sensor with 2-layer Transistor Pixel, marking a breakthrough for smartphone photography. The device has a 24mm lens on the back, equipped with a 2-layer Transistor Pixel stacked CMOS image sensor “Exmor T for mobile,” which is about 1.7 times larger than the Xperia 1 IV’s image sensor. Its 85-125mm (F2.3-F2.8) optical zoom lens enables bright portraits with little distortion.
The device’s color presets, such as Creative Look, are preset, and high-performance real-time AF allows for shooting with the focus on the eyes of a person or a specified subject. Its 6.5-inch 4K OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz offers an authentic viewing experience for movies and music. The Xperia 1 V offers approximately 20 hours of continuous video playback with a powerful 5,000mAh battery, and supports wireless charging.
In addition, the device is compatible with 5G networks. The Xperia 1 V fits all creators’ needs with the Product Showcase Setting, which shifts the focus on the camera to the product when shooting, and a new voice priority mic, which records the creator’s voice even in a busy outdoor location.
