Samsung is set to release its new foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold5, which will hit the market earlier than expected, according to recent reports. The dimensions of the phone were recently leaked, with Smartprix offering a 360 video and 5K renders of the phone’s physical details.
The Galaxy Z Fold5 will have the same foldable design as its predecessor but will feature different dimensions, with the unfolded phone measuring 154.9 x 129.9 x 6.3mm and the folded dimensions measuring 154.9 x 67.1 x 13.5mm. The thickness of the phone when folded is only 13.4mm, which is slimmer than the previous Z Fold4. The phone will feature a protruding camera island with triple cameras and an LED flash, with the rear camera module having undergone some changes. The Galaxy Z Fold5 will feature a 7.6-inch AMOLED display, with the external panel measuring 6.2 inches and boasting a refresh rate of 120hz.
The phone is expected to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC for Galaxy and will likely be available with several LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 ROM options. The phone will feature a triple rear camera setup, with the primary camera capable of capturing 8K video at 30fps. The Galaxy Z Fold5 will be available with One UI 5.1.1 based on Android 13 and will feature IPX8 water resistance and Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
