Google Calendar for Wear OS is now available to download on the Play Store, following Gmail’s release last week. The app appears as “Calendar” in the launcher and exists alongside “Agenda” on the original Pixel Watch running Wear OS 3.5.
The app offers a basic view of your schedule, similar to the “Schedule” view on phones. You can open events to see precise details, such as location, notes, notifications, and which calendar the event is saved to. You can also adjust whether you’re attending the event and open it on your phone or delete it.
Recognized events, such as holidays and birthdays, get background images in the main feed, and Google Tasks will also appear with the ability to mark them as complete. At the very bottom of the app, it will show you how far it has synced.
However, you cannot create events or tasks within the wearable app.
Google Calendar also adds two new Wear OS Tiles for “Next event” and “Next tasks,” which shows two upcoming entries. The “More” tile simply opens the full app and is not a dedicated view.
There is also a “Next event” Calendar complication, and existing date complications will ask whether you want to open Google Calendar or the Agenda app going forward.
You can search for “Calendar” in the wearable Play Store or remotely install it via the app listing.
